1821 Aid renamed Adventure.
27 Nov 1821 Involved in voyage of discovery or surveying duties.
Portsmouth. Dec. 17 1825 The surveying vessel, Adventure, Captain P. P. King, is expected shortly from the river, prior to sailing for the Straits of Magellan and Le Maire, which they are to survey, as well as the south-west coast of Patagonia, as far north as Chiloe.
8 Jan 1827 On the South America Station Adventure, surveying vessel.
Portsmouth Sep 1 1827 The Éclair, Captain S Vassal, arrived from Rio Janeiro in 71 days. She reports that Captain King, that the Adventure was about to resume her survey of the Magellan's Straits.
Portsmouth July 11, 1829 Reports received from Rio de Janeiro dated 5 May, report that the Adventure had finished her survey of Magellan's Straits and, with the Beagle, was shortly due to start on the islands off Cape Horn and Staten Land.
23 Nov 1829 The Adventure is reported to have been at Valparaiso on 3 Aug, and was about to survey to the south, including the island of Chiloe, off the coast of Chile [later to be visited by Darwin].
18 Jan 1830 It is reported that the Adventure sailed for Chiloe on 11 Aug 1829
1830 South America station, per Navy List.
28 May 1840 Portsmouth, arrived from Woolwich.
8 Oct 1840 arrived Woolwich to be docked.
30 Oct 1840 The Adventure naval transport, Mr. John Roskelly, to be Master, vice Wallis superseded.
14 Nov 1840 sailed from Deptford for Plymouth.
5 Feb 1841, Woolwich, is loading at Deptford for Plymouth and Pembroke.
19 Feb 1841, Woolwich, The Lightning left on Monday to tow the Adventure from Deptford to Sheerness, on her way to Pembroke.
17 Apr 1841, Woolwich, passed by here for Deptford.
4 Aug 1841, Woolwich, sailed to Portsmouth.
12 Nov 1841, Plymouth, Sailed with stores, for Woolwich and Deptford dockyards.
Feb 1946 Transport, at Chatham.
