8 July 1800 Boarding and capturing French frigate Désirée, and attempt to burn other vessels Dart, Captain Patrick Campbell, Wasp, Commander J. Edwards, Falcon, H. S. Butt, Comet, fire-ship, F. Leef, Rosario, Carthew, Biter, Lieutenant Norman, Boxer, T. Gilbert. Cutters: Kent, Lieutenant Cooban, Ann, Lieutenant R. Young, Selby, Williams, Teazer, Robins, Stag, Humphreys, Nile, Whitehead, Vigilant, Dean, Camperdown, and boats of Andromeda, Nemesis, and Babet. The source for this is the medal awarded 1st June, 1847.
