24 Aug 1798 captured the French privateer Francois in the Mediterranean.
21 Nov 1798, Tangier Bay, after seeing the convoy into the Bay of Gibraltar yesterday, I chased two French privateers, one of which, l'Adolphe, 6 carriage guns and 42 men, I captured in the evening, and the other was driven on shore about two miles to the westward of Tariff, but from the day being far advanced, and very hazy weather, I found it impossible, with safety, to attempt destroying her. 1 Dec 1798 captured a French privateer, Name unknown, in Rosea, Bay.
19 Feb 1799 joined the blockade off Malta with a large French armed store ship which, with the Audacious, she took possession of yesterday, by signal from Lord Nelson, whose squadron was then engaged with the Trench ; Captain Ricketts reported this ship to be the Ville de Marseilles, loaded with salt meat, brandy, wime, clothing, stores, &c. ; sailed from Toulon on the 7th inst., in company with the Genereux 74, Admiral Perrée, Badine 24, and 2 Corvettes, with 4,000 troops on board for the relief of Malta.
26 Aug 1800, with the cutter Pigmy, a punitive expedition made against the town of Cesenatico, when all the vessels in the harbour were either set on fire or sunk and the 2 piers burnt.
