16 Feb 1797 Emerald (Captain Berkeley), Minerve, Niger, Bonne-Citoyenne and Raven detached to look after the Santisima-Trinidad, subsequently joined by the Terpsichore, which would appear to be the only vessel to comply with these instructions.

31 Mar 1797 sailed from Lisbon to blockade Cadiz.

26 Apr 1797 the Irresistible, in company with the Emerald, captured two Spanish frigates Ninfa and Santa-Elena, the former being taken into the Service as the Hamadryad.

5 Jul 1797 2nd bombardment of Cadiz : now commanded by Captain John Waller.

29 May 1797 Attack on Santa-Cruz, Teneriffe.

2 May 1798 Nelson in the Vanguard sailed from off Cadiz for Gibraltar, departing that place on the 9th to the east, accompanied by the Alexander, Orion, Emerald, Terpsichore, and Bonne-Citoyenne.

12 Aug 1798 Emerald, Alcmène, and Bonne-Citoyenne arrive off Aboukir Bay.

19 Aug 1798 the Zealous, Goliath, Swiftsure, Seahorse, Emerald, Alcmène, and Bonne-Citoyenne, leave Aboukir Bay to cruise off the port of Alexandria.

2 Sep 1798 the French cutter Anémone, from Malta, run on shore near the tower of Marabou to avoid British boats, only to be met by Arabs. The ships boats sent off from the Swiftsure and Emerald to recover the cutter, now breaking up in the surf, rescued the cutter's commanding officer and 4 seamen to the bravery of a midshipman.

End of the year 1798 remains stationed off Alexandria.

19 Jun 1799 with the advanced division of the Mediterranean fleet, captured the French vessels Junon, Alceste, Courageuse, Salamine and Alerte, which were purchased into the Service, Junon being renamed Princess Charlotte.

5-7 Apr 1800 captured the Spanish frigates Carmen and Florentina, which were purchased into the Service, and merchant vessels from a convoy.

13 Mar 1804 capture of the French privateer-schooner Mosambique.

25 Apr 1804 seamen and the Army was landed to take Surinam, which was surrendered on 5 May.

13 Mar 1808 ship's boats destroy the French armed schooner Apropos in the harbour of Vivero.

24 Feb 1809 Naïad made the signal of three suspicious sail coming down from the northward and signalled Rear-admiral Stopford's squadron accordingly. leaving the Amethyst and Emerald to watch Basque road, the squadron sailed in search of the approaching vessels.

7 Mar - Apr 1809 in Basque roads. 11 Apr the use of fire ships, explosion-vessels, and Congreve rockets against the French fleet at Basque roads and the results thereof. 12 Apr attempt made to destroy grounded French vessels, following the previous night's attack.

5-6 Apr 1809 Amethyst chased and captured the French 40-gun frigate Niemen, with the assistance of the Emerald. The Niemen became a great acquisition to the British navy under her French name.

Cork 12 Apr 1811 Has captured and brought into harbour a French privateer.

Portsmouth 5 Nov 1811 Arrived from the Cape of Good Hope.
