Mar 1889 Reports received from her sister ship, the Orlando, recently arrived in Australia, advise that the positioning of her bunkers in relation to the stokehold are seriously flawed, and it has therefore been neccesary to devise a more pratical means of supplying coal.

1890 Portsmouth. Officers borne in Asia.

26 Jun 1897 Present at the Naval Review at Spithead in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.

24 June 1900, Sheerness, The Khedive arrived in the Osborne from the Continent. She received a 21 gun salute from the Sanspareil, at Garrison Point Fort, followed by similar salutes from the cruisers Argonaut and Galatea.
