17 May 1840 arrived at Barbadoes from Plymouth.

6 Jul 1840 at Barbadoes.

3 Apr 1841, Clerk ------ Lewis (late Winchester), appointed to and promoted to be clerk-in-charge of Gleaner.

One source suggests this vessel was transferred from Post Office in 1837, ex-Gulnare, whilst WL Clowes states she was designed by Sir W. Symonds and built at Deptford as Gulnare for the Admiralty in 1833, and rebuilt and renamed as Gleaner in 1837.
