Notes:

Early Aug 1795 a squadron arrived in Simon's bay, Cape of Good Hope, with troops, with a view to taking the province, which was subsequently achieved in the September. During this period the Dutch ship Willemstadt en Boetzlaar was taken, re-named Princess, and fitted out as a 20-gun ship, along with the armed brig Star, the latter being re-named the Hope.

17 Aug 1796 Simon's bay, Cape of Good Hope. Was present at the capitulation of the Dutch squadron, greatly out-gunned by a much larger British squadron.

26 Nov 1799 arrived last evening with the small French Lugger mentioned in the inclosed Letter from Lieutenant Frissell of HM Hired Armed Lugger Fanny.

6 Oct 1804, in company with the Ships Melpomene, Regulus, Ariadne, Clinker, Hecla, and Explosion Gun-brigs, captured the Spanish Ship Purissima Conception.

31 Dec 1808 an Account of HM's Grant of two thirds of the proceeds of the Spanish ship Purissima Conception, will be delivered into the Registry of the High Court of Admiralty.

31 Jul 1804 present when the Postillion was taken by a squadron off Havre.

18 Sep 1806 prize money due on the Shepherdess and Postillion will be paid at Portsmouth. 1 Mar 1811 Reported as being at Londonderry, Lt. T. Peregrine.

Notes:

Hope, tender to the Africa, 14 Aug 1812 captured a U.S. privateer, the 6 gun schooner Lewis, with 30 men, off Halifax. Prize money arising from the proceeds of the capture will be available on 12 Feb 1818.

Plymouth 19 Apr 1814 Arrived from St. Sebastian.

Portsmouth 24 May 1814 Arrived from the French coast, having landed prisoners from England.

Portsmouth 30 May 1814 sailed with 250 prisoners for Havre.
