10 Dec 1891 left the Clyde for Portsmouth, but experienced storm force winds in the Irish Sea in which 3 of her boats were carried away, and one of the electric light engines broke down. She sheltered Milford Haven until the Sunday morning, when the weather had abated, before proceeding to Spithead.
