Loup Cervier, 1812

Captured : 1812 ;
15 Oct 1812 the USS Wasp captured the British sloop Frolic, but was so badly damaged in the fight that when HMS Poictiers, 74 guns, appeared on the scene she was unable to run and surrendered to her much larger and was initially renamed Loup Cervier, but later renamed Peacock.
27 Jun 1813 the (late US vessel Wasp), captured Schooner Little Bill on the N.A. & W. Indies station. 23 Aug 1813 Loup Cervier and Wasp arrived Halifax with a convoy from Quebec.
30 Aug 1813 arrived Halifax the American brig Hope, 52 days from Lisbon, for Newport, R.I., sent in by the Loup Cervier.
14 Sep 1813, Loup Cervier, Capt. Mends, arrived Halifax, with the squadron from the Chesapeake.
