24 Jun 1797 captured the French privateer Flibustier on the West Indies station.
Between 12 Feb and 15 Apr 1799 captured a French privateer, name unknown, on the Jamaica station.
Portsmouth circa 23 Jan 1800 having recently returned from the West Indies has now moved into the harbour from Spithead for a refit.
12 Apr 1800 a court martial was held on board the Gladiator, on Mr. Joseph Trevenor, Boatswain, of the Maidstone, for drunkenness and neglect of duty. He was found guilty and dismissed his ship, and incapable of serving as an officer in HM Navy.
19 Apr 1800 appointed to take next convoy to Halifax.
11 Jul 1804 ships' boats capture a settee and burn others.
