Notes:

1840 the building of a dock commenced by Mr. Scamp, which was completed in 1848 by Mr. Tucker.

1857 the above dock was extended by Mr. Churchward.

11 Oct 1861 Increase of the Salary of Master Attendant of Malta Dock Yard to £500.

9 Jan 1863 Salary of the Master Shipwright of Malta Dock Yard raised to £550 per annum.

16 Feb 1871 the Somerset Dock was opened.
