15 Nov 1843 Commissioned at Devonport as storeship for Harbour Service at Valparaiso.
15 Nov 1845 The Thalia, 42, Captain Charles Hope, arrived this morning from the gulf of California, with nearly two million of dollars on merchants' account. She left Mazatlan on the 5th, San Blas on the 15th June, Valparaiso the 15th of August, and Rio Janeiro the 3rd September. The Nereus, store-ship was the only one of the Pacific squadron at Valparaiso when the Thalia last left that port. Rear Admiral Sir George Seymour had gone in the Collingwood, taking the Modeste with him, to meet the French Admiral at Tahiti, to arrange about the indemnity to our late Consul, Mr. Pritchard. It was understood that the Commander-in-Chief was going afterwards to the Sandwich Islands, and then to California, and the West Coast of Mexico.

Jan 1879 sold for £500, reputedly to the Paymaster of the Liffey, as a residence, accommodation being short ashore. She is then reported to have been sold by the Paymaster on his departure and taken back to Valparaiso where she remained until driven ashore in strong winds and broke up.
