30 Jan-24 Feb 1809 a part of a expedition under R.-adm Sir A Cochrane which arrived off Martinique with a view to taking the Island.
17 Oct 1809 cruising off Pointe-à-Pitre, island of Guadaloupe, with support from the sloops, the ships' boats of the Hazard and Pelorus destroyed a privateer-schooner moored under the battery of Sainte-Marie.

Minorca 21 Dec 1829 Is reported to have struck on a rock near Minorca.
Gibraltar 11 Feb 1830 Isis was gone to Port Mahon to bring back the officers and crew of the Pelorus, struck a rock at the entrance of that port on 21 Dec 1829, and was bilged.

9 May 1832 remained at Sierra Leone when the Dryad sailed. Is reported to have bought in a Spanish slaving vessel carrying 460 slaves, and is expected to sail shortly for Loango.

Sierra Leone circa 12 Oct 1834 Is reported to have captured a slaver with 180 slaves on board.
Bight of Biafra 12 Oct 1834 Cruising for slave vessels.
17 Dec 1834 captured the Sutil ; will be paid their respective proportions of the hull and bounty 2d June 1836.
15 Jan 1835 captured the Minerva ; will be paid as above.
Sierra Leone 28 Feb 1835 is reported to be cruising off Princes Island off the West Coast of Africa, where midshipman Judd died on 24th.
Portsmouth 26 Sep 1835 was paid-off today, all standing, and is expected to be re-commissioned in the near future.
Portsmouth 10 Oct 1835 plans to bring this vessel into commission have been cancelled for the present.
Portsmouth 31 Jan 1837 commissioned.
Portsmouth 25 Mar 1837 is reported to be nearly ready for sea, and is expected to sail for the Cape of Good Hope and Mauritius with specie shortly.

14 Dec 1839 Assistant Surgeon R. A. Bankier, appointed to the Pelorus, vice Nation, invalided
26 Dec 1840 Lieutenant Augustus Leopold Kuper, late Pelorus, promoted to the rank of Commander. Commission to be dated from the 27th of July, 1839.
6 Jul 1841, Lieutenant Chambers returned to England.
22 May 1841, news received in England reports that the Pelorus went ashore in a gale at Port Essington (Austalia), but has been got off.
22 May 1841, Lieutenant W. W. Chambers, of the Wellesley, is appointed and promoted to be acting commander of the Pelorus.
23 Apr 1841, arrived at Singapore.
6 Jul 1841, the brig Peloras was sold at Singapore and the officers and crew transferred to the brig Bentinck.
