1808 Built at Bermuda of the pencil cedar, measure, BOM, 150 tons ; ten 18-pounder carronades, rigged as schooners, with a crew of 50 men and boys.

1808 an improvement on the earlier classes of this type of vessel, built in 1804 and 1806, in the light of the experiences of those who had sailed them, and the results achieved or otherwise.
