From News of the World of 19 Jan 1851
Disasters at Sea
Several vessels received injury:- The St Lawrence barque, from New Orleans, drove foul of the Cobden Austrian brig, Odessa to Limerick, when the latter was clean swept of masts, bowsprit, and everything above deck. The former has her stern stove in, and lost stanchions, bulwarks, &c. She was subsequently in contact with the Undine of Wexford, from Constantinople, which lost bulwarks etc.
