Circa Nov 1799, Valk / Voolk, the Dutch frigate Valk / Voolk, 20, one of those taken possession of by Adm. Mitchell, has recently been lost on the island of Ameland.

20 Nov 1799, Portsmouth, arrived the Pelter, Lt. Walsh, from the Texel, having been ashore on the Dutch coast, and was sent into harbour for a refit, having lost her anchor, cables and false keel. She arrived with survivors from the Dutch frigate Valk / Voolk, wrecked on the Island of Ameland.
