H.M.S. Havannah, hence the 19th October, [1848,] arrived at Auckland on the 30th, and was to sail from thence for Port Nicholson about the 18th November.
H.M.S. Dido sailed for England direct on the 4th ultimo, [Nov. 1848],
H.M. steamer Acheron, hence the 30th October, [1848], arrived at Auckland on the 7th ultimo [Nov.].
H. M. Steamer Medea, 6, Commander T. H. Mason, is under orders to proceed to New Zealand to succeed the Inflexible. The Medea is a second-class sloop of 835 tons, and 200 horse power; she was built in 1833 from the design of Mr. Oliver Lang, of the Woolwich Dockyard. She was at Singapore about four months since.
