And whereas by Your Majesty's Order in Council of the 16 December, 1912, rates of pay were laid down for Leading and Petty Officer Telegraphists and Yeomen of Signals in Your Majesty's Nary respectively as follows: -

And whereas we consider it desirable to, modify the conditions attached to the payment of these rates :

We beg leave humbly to recommend that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased by Your Order in Council to cancel the aforesaid provisions in Your Order in Council of the sixteenth day of December, 1912, and to substitute the following rates in lieu thereof, to take effect as from the first day of December, 1912, viz.:-

Cabinet Watchkeepers allowance - Ordinary and Boy Telegraphists
And whereas we are of opinion that the responsibilities undertaken by Ordinary and Boy Telegraphists of Your Majesty's Navy who are employed as Cabinet Watchkeepers, are such as to warrant the payment to them of an allowance additional to their pay :

We beg leave humbly to submit that Your Majesty may be graciously pleased, by Your Order in Council, to sanction the payment, as from the, 1st October, 1915, and during the period of the present War, of an allowance of 6d. per diem to Ordinary Telegraphists, and of 3d. per diem to Boy Telegraphists, while regularly employed as Cabinet Watchkeepers in main or auxiliary wireless offices of Your Majesty's Ships.
