Pay of Masters in Command.

Admiralty, 4th May, 1856,

My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, having had under their consideration the question of the Pay of the Masters in Command, are pleased to direct that when Masters are in future appointed to the Command of any of Her Majesty’s Ships they are to be allowed Two Shillings a day in addition to their pay as Masters.
